Our fourth CIIT series covers the proliferation of activity in data-driven healthcare, barriers to ongoing innovation in the space, and IP considerations for investors, start-ups and other industry stakeholders looking to take advantage of the data-driven healthcare phenomenon.

Episode 1: Interview with Cliff Emmons, CEO at IIoT-Oxys. Cliff has extensive experience in creating, building, and transforming businesses in the USA, India, and China. He is a passionate visionary and has led organizations with over 200 employees and multi-million USD budgets.

Episode 2: Interview with Zayna Khayat, Future Strategist at SE Health. Zayna completed her Ph.D. in diabetes research from the University of Toronto (2001), followed by a career in strategy consulting, including as a Principal in the healthcare practice of The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Currently, Zayna leads the Futures team; co-creating a future where Canadians age with vitality, dignity and health for a better tomorrow. 

Episode 3: Panel discussion with Fady Rayes, VP of Product Development at Pega Medical. Fady is a Mechanical Engineer with academic and professional experience in design, fabrication and development of innovative products in the biomedical and industrial equipment industries. He has co-authored 2 book chapters and 9 patents on novel medical innovations in the field of osteosynthesis, growth modulation and minimally invasive cardiovascular instrumentation. 

We also spoke with Chandra Adams, Senior Director, Intellectual Property at Surface Oncology Inc. Chandra is an attorney with industry experience in regulatory affairs and intellectual property. Her specialties include paediatric drug development, pharmaceutical product life cycle maintenance and evaluation, and pharmaceutical IP. She also teaches new drug development in the Regulatory Affairs Master's Degree program at Northeastern University in Boston.
